About the Role
- We are looking for a senior technology thinker who also writes — someone who reads widely across the technology landscape, forms opinions, and can translate complex, fast-moving ideas into compelling narratives for senior business and technology audiences.
- You should be as comfortable writing a point of view on AI-driven financial risk management as you are unpacking the economics of modern data centre infrastructure or the enterprise implications of a new cloud paradigm. Technology changes. Your ability to get under the skin of it shouldn't.
- Note: This role offers a 6-month contract to begin with, extendable by mutual agreement.
Job Description
- Research, develop, and write thought leadership blogs, long-form articles, and Points of View (PoVs) across technology domains.
- Create hero content and flagship pieces that anchor a client's content strategy and establish their voice in the market.
- Translate complex technology concepts into clear, intelligent narratives for C-suite and senior decision-maker audiences.
- Work closely with client stakeholders and our strategy team to develop content angles that are timely, differentiated, and credible.
- Stay ahead of technology trends across domains such as AI, data infrastructure, cybersecurity, financial technology, cloud, and beyond.
- Bring your own perspective — we want writers who have opinions, not just output.
Educational Qualifications
- Bachelor's or Master's degree in Engineering, Technology, Communications, Journalism, Business, Research, or a related field. Advanced qualifications are a plus but not mandatory.
- Advanced certifications or postgraduate qualifications in Content Strategy, AI, Data, or Emerging Technologies are a plus.
Experience
- 8+ years of experience writing about technology — for technology companies, consulting firms, research organisations, or specialist publications
- Demonstrated ability to write across multiple technology domains with authority and ease — a portfolio that shows range, not just depth in one area
- Experience producing thought leadership, PoVs, white papers, or executive-level content — not product copy or how-to guides
Skills
- Strong editorial instincts — structure, argument, narrative flow — you make complex ideas accessible without dumbing them down
- Ability to work independently, manage briefs with minimal hand-holding, and deliver clean copy on time
- Comfortable in AI/ML, data centres & infrastructure, financial risk & RegTech, cloud & edge computing, cybersecurity, enterprise digital transformation, and more.
- Curiosity about emerging technologies, with a habit of following industry reports, analysts conversations, and evolving tech trends.
